Boy, was I mistaken....

When I first entered the convent I thought being a Nun would be boring at times.  Oh, hum...what shall I do now?

Not so!  Yesterday was a great day filled with Adoration, college students, race managers, Mass, Dominicans and an evening Holy Hour.

Sr. Fidelis and I spent several hours in the heart of the ASU campus greeting students and spreading the word about the Nun Run.  We witnessed a bicycle crash and a golf cart accident as many people in the busy thoroughfare were rubber necking to see the Nuns!  No major injuries were reported! Many thanks to Fr. Muir, Daniel and all who helped us witness to Christ on campus.  (Picture to follow in a future blog).

We then met with our wonderful race manager, Jeremy Graham of  We were excited when we saw his son Oscar had come to our meeting at Kiwanis Park.  The Nun Run registration and finish line area is in the background of the photo.

Then, we were happy to welcome Fr. Anthony and 5 Dominican Novices to Our Lady of Solitude Monastery.  We celebrated a beautiful Mass and enjoyed Sr. Mary Fidelis' soup (click here to see her blog).  Then a restful Holy Hour with the male voices echoing throughout the chapel to the greater glory of God.

Our Dominican Brothers lending a helping hand today

I was really tired at the end of the day.  But a day so filled with the Lord and His goodness, never could there be a moment of boredom!
